Good Tuesday to ya’, Reiki family!

Despite years of self help work, my first instinct when tough feelings come up is to do the exact opposite of this message! 🤣

The first thing I do when I feel bad is try to stop or banish the emotion. I reach for flower or crystal essences, try to breathe or meditate or basically do anything I can think of to “change my state”. 

Get it to - GO. AWAY. 

PRONTO. 

Anyone with me?

However, these same years of self inquiry have shown me that nothing moves until I allow the emotions to have space to BE first. Without shame, without judgment, without any admonishments or talk about how I “should” feel. 

Just let ‘em really be with me. 

Just like the message says. 

Easier said than done, but a worth while practice nonetheless.
